happy state bank
MWM Architects, Inc. was commissioned by Happy State Bank to design a new four-story, 47,500 square foot mixed-use commercial facility located on Lubbock Avenue in Lubbock, Texas. The building establishes a strong civic presence in the heart of the city and reflects the clientβs commitment to excellence in both financial services and community development.
About This Project
The design places Happy State Bankβs full-service branch on the ground floor and partial basement, creating a welcoming and secure environment for customers. The space features a refined interior palette, abundant natural light, and thoughtful spatial organization to support both banking operations and customer experience.
The upper three floors were developed as Class A office space, designed to accommodate professional tenants. Notable occupants include Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. and Crenshaw, Dupree & Milam, LLC, each benefiting from high-performance building systems and a flexible, modern workspace layout.
The buildingβs steel-framed structure is clad in a red brick veneer with precast concrete trim, offering a contemporary interpretation of classic commercial architecture. The material palette and massing establish a timeless aesthetic that aligns with the professional image of its tenants while contributing to the architectural character of the surrounding urban context.
