MWM was retained to perform due diligence, architectural design, construction document preparation and construction administration services for the renovation and upgrade of a 70-year old, 16-story, 250-room hotel in downtown San Francisco. The scope of the project involved renovation of ground floor, basement and mezzanine areas for public, administrative and back-of-house functions B including construction of the Ponzu restaurant and several meeting rooms. The work included replacement of guest room finishes and bathroom fixtures,redesign of guest rooms and public areas for ADA compliance, and historical restoration of building exterior elevations, porte cochere and reception lobby.
