Oakland, California. MWM was retained by the City to perform space planning and furniture inventory and procurement for two new Administration Buildings, totaling 14 stories. The spaces consisted of 16 departments including Planning and Building, Public Works, and Personnel, with 30-40 individual organizational units. MWM reviewed alternative area blockout arrangements and adjacency requirements to confirm the building stacking arrangement; developed a detailed space allocation plan of each organizational unit; determined all required electrical, telephone and data outlets; developed fixed partition layouts; developed systems furniture panel layouts, and selected all workstation components for 900 workstations.
