Nauru Island, Central Pacific. MWM provided architecture and interior design for this civic center building with meeting hall, cinema, bank, post office, supermarket, library, variety store, shops and offices. A "fast track" design and building schedule was implemented to accommodate the South Pacific Conference of 1975, a conclave of Pacific Island governments. Project design took into consideration the absence of local skilled labor and difficulty of obtaining material supplies.
