Tumon Bay, Guam, Mariana Islands. MWM designed the original 300-room, 18-story Guam Reef Hotel. Years later the client, Towa Real Estate Co. of Tokyo, asked MWM to provide complete architectural and interior design services for a new 11-story guest room tower and additional low-rise elements which would tie into and provide for the remodeling of the existing building. The new addition includes 172 guest rooms in a single-loaded corridor scheme which takes full advantage of views over the adjacent Philippine Sea.
